What makes a perfume feel clean

Clean is a direction, not a single ingredient. It can be crisp and aldehydic, cool and mineral, airy and citrus-led, or soft and musky. OLFÉA treats clean as an atmosphere rather than a detergent claim.

Crisp clean

Aldehydes, citrus and pale florals can create the lifted, fabric-like side of clean. These are useful if you want a fragrance to feel bright at the beginning.

Soft clean

Musk, iris and sandalwood make a cleaner direction feel less sharp and more lived-in. This is often the more comfortable route for close, everyday wear.

Choose the setting

For work or warm weather, look for air, green facets or citrus. For a quiet evening, move towards cottony musk, pale woods and soft powder.
